Our wedding colors are pink and silver. The groomsman are wearing pink vest's and tie's. My fiance wants to wear a silver vest and tie - to stand out from the groomsman. I know he should stand out, but I'm afraid it will look weird in pictures and we'll clash, since my dress is white.
The people at the tux store said that the groom traditonally wears a white vest and tie. Is this true? What color should my groom wear?
Thanks!

Dear FarminRaeRae,
He can wear a different color vest and tie than his groomsmen. Many will choose a black vest and not just white.
I'm not sure about the silver clashing, as I'm not the fashion expert. But, please remember that the tux is formal evening attire--not for the daytime.

I suggest you do two things:
1) talk to your photographer to find out if the white vest/tie would look good in photos and how the combination of silver vest/tie is going to look. Maybe it's not going to look bad in photos after all!
2) go to your local bookstore and do a little research: page through the latest bridal magazines and see what is the most popular color of vest/tie for the groom to wear with the tux. Are there any white/white combinations? Silver/on silver?
