Top Hat - It is all about the Top Hat with Groom

My fiance wants to wear a top hat at our wedding. I am not all that keen on it, but like he said "when will I ever get a chance to wear one again?"

Sigh...

I am being supportive, so if he wants to wear a top hat, do all of the men in the bridal party wear top hats? Or can he be the only one? What kind of a tux goes with a top hat?

Our wedding ceremony will be outside and the reception will be held inside

thanks
We will be married October 4, 2008

Dear Moshi,

Top hats are worn only for the 'most' formal of wedding. So, all of your other elements would have to be very formal.

Cutaway coats are worn during the day and tails in the evening for the most formal of affair.

Yes, all of the men in the wedding would wear the same attire.

Best wishes,
