     Tuxedo for Female Best Man

I really need some help. My best male friend has asked me to be his best man for an out of town wedding in October. The bride has four attendants; however I am the only attendant on his side. The groom wants me to wear a tuxedo. How can I find a tuxedo for a female attendant and is this considered correct etiquette?

Dear Kbrown,

This isn't typical according to what etiquette standards are. Groom's women wear the same attire as the bride's attendants except that it is in the groom's colors.

He does have the last say. But, it would be worth it for you to inform him of the 'rule'.

I don't know of a lady's tuxedo.

Best wishes,
