Vegas Wedding Attire for the Groom

My finance and I are getting married in Vegas. We have been together for about 6 years and engaged for two. We want a very simple wedding. I am wear a short wedding dress that doesn't have much design to it and we were wondering what other attire for him would be okay besides a tux? Will jeans and a nice button down shirt with a coat and maybe some boots be fine, or shall he just wear the whole suit and tie thing. Please help!

Dear Abarnett,

I understand that pretty much anything goes in Vegas, but it is still your wedding and your attire does create a mood. His attire should match yours in formality. From your description of your dress, it would seem as if yours is in the same formality as a cocktail dress. So, if he were to be dressed appropriately, he would be wearing a suit.

Best wishes,
