     Wedding in Italy/June - groom's attire - HELP!

We are getting married in Tuscany at the end of June next year and I am wondering what the groom et al should wear. I will be in traditional dress but is it usually too hot for them to wear a tux? The wedding will be very relaxed but I don't like the idea of them looking too casual and I cringe at the thought of them wearing linen... any suggestions?

Dear Emmalbond:

Tuscany can be a bit toasty in June so wearing a traditional tuxedo could prove to be very uncomfortable. I would work toward finding something that is suitable for a Tuscan summer but still looks stylish. That means a personal trip to a tuxedo store is necessary. They will be able to show you various fabrics, styles and colors so you can get some ideas. Linen isn't your only option. Whatever you choose, it should match the formality of your wedding.

Great advice. Plus, be careful. Some do not know the etiquette involved with men's formal attire. Here, the tuxedo is evening formal attire. And, white or ivory evening jackets are worn for warmer climates. So, please read up on the customs of Europe.
