What Style Tuxedos for Black-Tie optional, Summer Evening Wedding

I am getting married in June. We will be having a 4:30pm ceremony and 6:00pm reception. The reception is black-tie optional. I suspect at least half of the guests will be in formalwear.

That being said, I assume I (the groom) and my groomsmen should all be in tuxedos of some sort. I was wondering what style tuxes you would recommend for me and the groomsmen.

I'd appreciate all and any help. Thanks!

Dear June08wedding,

I'm not sure about the 'style' except perhaps lighter colored jackets due to warmer weather. But, I can comment about the dress code. 'Black tie optional' is very confusing. It would be better to just list Black tie on your invitations. Some will still only wear suits with this dress code, but it isn't ambiguous.

Best wishes,
