     What should the groom wear?

My Fiance and I have just been engaged, and are now planning a wedding that is just about 5 months away! I think that I would rather wear a black suit as opposed to a tux, I just like the fit of a suit better, tuxes all seem to be very "big" and unfitted. So my thoughts are 3-button black suit, rep tie (white and light blue striped to match the sash on my FW's dress) and white and black wing tip shoes. Will this be formal enough to go with my FW's dress, as she is going for the classic white slip dress? Also, do my groomsmen have to have the exact same suit, or do they just need a black suit? I was also thinking of giving them solid color ties, so that my tie would stand out just subtley? Good idea? Thoughts...Smile

Dear No Tuxes,

Time of day plays in here. Tuxes are evening attire anyway. So, you could wear the suit with her dress during the day. Your groomsmen could wear a different black suit, but it should appear very similar. The ties could be different.

Typically all of the men dress the same though.

Best wishes,
