I am getting married February 14-21/07 in DR - Punta Cana and have been having the most terrible time trying to find a destination wedding outfit for my FH. We did find one online custom made company that was going to make linen pants and a long sleeve linen shirt (button up) for my FH and for the 3 groomsmen - but 3 weeks after placing the order, they have informed me that they are now closing and will no longer be fulfilling my order.
Does anyone know how i can order customized linen clothing? I need it to be available in custom because my FH is fairly tall and has long arms. The others are fairly short - but slightly larger. I can, of course, get the groomsmen's clothes hemmed.
We also live in Canada - so as long as the company is either available in Canada or is willing to ship to Canada would be fantabulous.

I really have no clue. You could check with your coordinator at your destination to see if she can offer any contacts. Also the company that is closing must have had competition, can you call them for a referral? Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com

I have tried calling the original seller - and he won't give me anything. He just basically said "too bad".
There is one option - waiting until the end of January/first week of February from Derks here, but that I think is cutting it close??
Yike!

Depending on where you live (big city or small), you should be able to locate a "Big & Tall" mens clothing store. Many of the major chains, such as JC Penney, Macey's, etc., will be able to provide these types of clothes. By finding the item at a major retailer, you will be assured of consistency and style, and utilize their on-site tailors for a custom fit.
If you want, you can do a search online for these types of stores. If it were me, I would not take a chance on a custom made outfit just before your wedding.
If that does not work for you, consider going to a wedding store in your area that provides custom fitting. It's possible they can give you the name of a seamstress or tailor who can make the items locally in your area, allowing you to pick and choose the fabric, attend the fittings, etc. Copen Cabana DJ and Custom Wedding Photo Book Services http://www.knowareland.com
