     White tie with a tuxedo?

My fiancee would like me to wear a white bow tie and vest with my tuxedo at our wedding. Note that this is a standard tuxedo coat - not a morning coat / cutaway. The question is, is this permissible, or a gross violation of etiquette?

Thanks,

Jake

If you are looking to follow tradition:

WHITE TIE: Worn only to the most formal evening weddings, white tie consists of a black tailcoat and black tuxedo trousers with a white bow-tie (of piqué rather than satin), winged-collar tuxedo shirt, and white vest.
