I am having a black and white wedding. The groom and the groomsmen are wearing top hats and canes (possibly gloves). I have two questions; Should they be worn during the ceremony?

and

Since traditionally the father of the bride/groom match the party, should they wear them also?

The top hats and gloves should be worn during the ceremony.
