black shirts

my bridesmaids are wearing black dresses with dark wine colored wraps and flowers, so i was thinking the groomsmen would wear black tuxes with black shirts and wine colored vests and ties, unfortunately my fiance(who will be wearing a white shirt) thinks they will look too black ... are black shirts popular or no?

Why not a black tux with a wine colored shirt? I think your fiance is right, too much black and people may not know who the priest is......

Dear Bridezilla,

Black tuxedos shirts are inappropriate for a wedding. I suggest the groomsmen wear black tuxedos, white shirts, and wine colored vests with black ties.
