     dress blues for afternoon wedding

The groom will be wearing his Air Force dress blues, which will have a bow tie. Is this okay for an 3:00 wedding? What should groomsmen (all not military) wear?

Dear Dress Blues,

Yes, he may wear his dress blues. The groomsmen could wear cutaway coats, also called morning coats. This is formal daywear for men.

Best wishes,

Would this also hold true for a 1pm wedding where the groom is wearing his MC dress blues?

Yes, it would. If the groom's uniform is considered formal, the groomsmen would dress in formal wear also.
