My son will be getting married this summer. He and groomsmen will be wearing black tuxedos. Father of the bride will be wearing a suit, so to follow, my husband will also be wearing a suit, dark navy blue. Do the suits have to be black to match the groomsmen? Bride will be wearing white, long wedding gown, bridesmaids in tea length navy blue dresses. Wedding is 2:30 at church, with reception shortly after. Thanks!
Actually all of the men should be dressed the same. For very informal weddings, the men could be dressed similar. But, this isn't the case here.
Since the FOB is wearing a suit, it may be best for your husband to follow his lead. It may be viewed as insulting for your husband to wear a tux. He should probably wear a suit in the same color as the FOB as well.
Thank you so much for your response. In fact, the color of my husbands suit is actually black. I posted it wrong and said it was navy blue. I know black would blend better with what my son and the groomsmen will be wearing(black tux's). Father of the bride is not well, that is why he will be wearing a suit. I'll ask about the color. Again, thanks for the response.
