     purchasing ties...

I am interested in purchasing ties for my groomsmen. My bridesmaid dresses are a bright sea blue and our tux rental place does not carry ties or vests that come anywhere near matching our color. I had stuck with black, but would like to get a tie for them that would tie in the blue of the girls' dresses. Our wedding is fairly non-traditional. Is this appropriate? Also, could I still with the black ties for the FOB and FOG, or should I purchase ties for them as well?

Dear All tied up,

It is very nice of you to do this! A silver color may work instead of the black. It would blend nicely with the blue. But, if you choose to purchase the ties, the fathers would need the same color. They all dress the same.

Best wishes,
