re:FOB active duty military wearing chokers

Thanks for the advice, Rebecca. Should the FOB wear Navy chokers (white) or green USMC dress uniform? The FOB is a Naval Officer serving with the Marine Corps. Will the white chokers clash with the bride's dress which will be antique white? The groom and groomsmen will be wearing an afternoon suit with ascot in most likely black. The bridesmaid and MOH will have dresses in some shade of blue. (I am the MOB and our daughter's wedding is tentatively planned for October 2008.) I am so happy that I found this website! Thanks, Dawn from VA

Dear Patriotpets,

You are entirely welcome.

Your husband knows more about military protocol than me. So, he would know which one would be in the proper formality. Wait until the formality has been chosen and then decide on which uniform would be the most appropriate. If both are the same, then choose the color that matches best with the groomsmen.

Best wishes,
