     tuxedo without a bowtie?

I love the thought of my man wearing his tux at our wedding, but I hate bow ties! Is it neccesary to even wear a tie or would an actual long tie be ok instead?

Dear Marcy25,

A long tie would be nice.

if he does end up wearing a long tie, does that mean that the groomsmen will need to wear the same tie?

well, now that i have that figured out, i have another question. do the ties have to be the color of the dresses of those standing with me? theirs are pink. i personally would like him, and the ones standing with im to wear a silver tie. would that be ok?
