what kind of tie should the father of the bride wear?

None of the men in my bridal party are wearing tuxes -- I prefer suits. I bought all of the groomsmen matching ties and my fi has a speacial one of his own. What kind of tie should my dad wear? Should he match the groomsmen, groom or neither? My wedding is at 5 pm next May. Thanks for your help!

Dear What kind of tie,

The fathers should wear attire that is coordinated with the groomsmen. So, he should wear the same tie as the groomsmen.

Congratulations!

Dear Zeldapinwheel,

I would recommend that your father's suit and tie match the groomsmen.

All the best,
