     Alterations - date deadline

I do not live in the same country as where I am getting married (Canada). I have bought my dress in Canada (hometown). I am a little concerned as I will not be home for any dress fittings until 1.5 weeks before the wedding. If I prepare the dress salon for this should they be able to accommodate me and make the alterations in time for the wedding. I am sure the dress will need to be taken in and shortened. I have attached a few pictures of my dress. I don't think the pictures do it justice. It was the first dress I tried on... of many!!!

Looks like a gorgeous dress. Try getting a referral for a local seamstress. Call her and explain what needs to be done. I have a woman here who would definitely be able to do even the most complicated of alterations so it is likely, especially if you get a personal referral, that she will be able to accommodate you. Make sure to set things up ahead of time and schedukle to meet her the day you arrive in town.

Good luck.
