I am new to this site and this is my first post. I am 32 years old, this is my first marriage and my partner is 8 years younger than me. I feel getting married in the traditional white/ivory colours would be wrong as I have 2 children and will hardly be the virgin bride!
My husband to be is a mad Birmingham city supporter and I thought it would be perfect to get married in royal blue. The ceremony will be at the register office with just a small family/close friend meal after. I am having no bridesmaids just our 2 sisters as witnesses, so there is no concern about colour clashes.
Please can anyone advise me.
Thank you xx

You can choose whateve color you like, especially for a civil service like this one. But, you should note that, white/ivory colored wedding gowns no longer are considered to signify virginity, but, rather joy. So, wearing white, in your case, would be fine as well. Just match the formality of your dress to the venue.
