     Can I wear funky shoes?

We are having a destination wedding and I will be wearing a traditional wedding gown...however, I would like to wear leopard print high heels under my dress. Is that considered tacky or fun? The wedding and reception is pretty laid back...

Thanks for your imput!

The answers on the forum are mostly based on etiquette rather than opinion. Please note that your question's answer will be more opinion than etiquette fact. Thanks for waiting for an expert to reply.

Dear Funky,

As long as this isn't a formal wedding, you can take liberties with the shoes. If these reflect your personality, then even better.

Best wishes,

Increasingly, the brides I work with are looking for ways to express their individuality. I have had a couple of brides wear red shoes underneath their dresses which had red accents. Brown and black leopard prints may go better with an ivory/off-white dress than a pure white one. Or they now make leopard prints in different color palettes, so you may be able to find one in cream.
