Detailed wedding gown with several accessories

I have not chosen my wedding dress yet but feel I would suit a classic style. I would really like to wear long gloves and a full length veil. Recently, I have seen some beautiful gowns with flower detail at the waist and thought this would be really elegant, especially with a flower hair accessory. If i did all of the above, would there be too much going on? Should I focus on one or two features and leave the rest out?

Thanks in anticipation!

Dear Trishi,

I'm not the fashion expert, so I can't comment on the accessories. But, I can chime in about keeping a consistent level of formality. Brides can "get away with" wearing a slightly more formal dress than the formality of the wedding, because I think we all mentally expect that the bride really wants to dress up more than the rest of us. Wink But, the dress really should be as close to the formality of the wedding. It really should. So, choose carefully and don't allow the dress to guide you. Your budget should. You may not be able to afford to host this in a formal venue.

Be careful. Plan well.

Best wishes,
