     Dress and Accesorries

Hi!

I already bought a dress, the style is ballroom with cathedral train, and it is very long. I am going to have my hair up do, I am wondering what kind of accessories would you suggest to ad to that dress, I don't want to have too much, cause my dress already is very big (picture attach). I would like to listen to all suggestion about, necklace, earrings, veil, tiara, hair accessories etc, thanks Kate

Dear Kate,

The accessories that you wear should compliment your dress. For example, you don't want your head piece to be too big, but not too small either. You need a medium size head piece so that it will be in proportion to your dress, and so it won't get lost when you pull your hair up.

When wearing a medium size head piece you should wear small earrings. Something simple, like a stud or pearl earring would be nice. With the neckline of your dress you should wear a necklace that lands at your collar bone. You want a necklace with details on it that will be visible. For example, if you wear a chain with a small pendant, it will look too small and get lost on you.

The veil you choose really depends on what you like best. There are full veils, cathedral length, and finger tip...the list goes on. You also have to decide whether you plan to wear the veil throughout the night. Your best bet is to try on veil with different fullness, so you can see what you like with your face shape and dress. Then choose how long you want the veil. Since your dress has a cathedral train, you could do a cathedral veil. That gives a very traditional look to your dress. If you don't want the veil to be as long as the train, a finger tip or elbow length would also look pretty.

Good luck,
