     Dress colors

The dress I want is ivory over champagne. However when I am looking at other dresses labeles "champagne" they seem to be different shades of champagne.
Is there a designer standard for this color? How will I know I can match my colors sucessfully? Should I look for bridesmaids dresses after I get my dress home?

See if you can get a swatch from your gown if you want to match colors to your bridesmaids gowns.

Hello Denea:

Not necessarily. Every designer and label will have a different shade of "champagne".
The best thing to do is to request fabric swatches.
Many retailers either give these out for free, or they charge.

It would be best if you wait until you receive your dress, but it wouldn't hurt to start requesting fabric swatches in champagne, burgundy, dark red colors.
This will help you narrow down your choices, and you'll know that your color matches correctly.
