     Dress with train

I'm having a wedding outdoors and I have a train on my dress. There is some gravel on the procession trail and I'm worried about the dress snagging or tearing as I walk down the isle. What should I do? I've seen flower girls carrying them before, but I don't have one. Only bridesmaids.

Dear Cocorillos:

Here is an idea. Measure the distance from the entrance of the bridal processional to the altar. Then, go to your local carpet depot and have them cut a strip of carpet with the dimensions you provide. We have done this in the past and it works really well for outdoor surfaces like this. What color you choose is up to you but the lighter, the better because the bottom of your gown's train will be dragging against it.

This provides support, and a buffer between the gown and the gravel.

Cheers!
