Found the perfect dress on Ebay

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any advice - i've found my dream wedding dress on Ebay - its everything i've been looking for and more. If i buy it, it will be custom made......brand new etc. However - I live in the UK, and its from the United States...Its a bargain as its so beautiful and i am certain this is the dress i've been looking for. Do i take the plunge and buy it??? help! Any replies will be greatly received!!! Love, Beth xx

I suppose just that the dress will get lost in post or that it won't fit properly. I just need a bit of reassurance i guess!!

Buying on EBay can be intimidating if you're new to it. Here are a few tips:

1. Check the seller's rating. If they have a good selling track record and haven't burned anyone they will have a good rating.

2. Pay by Paypal since it's now owned by EBay. They have some buyer protection.

3. Make sure the seller mails to you in a secure manner, preferably by FedEx or something that will have tracking, signature required, insurance, all of that good stuff to make sure you get it. If they offer an option to pay more to have the delivery expediated, I'd opt for that.

4. Order well in advance for two reasons. Firstly, obviously you'll want to be sure it's the right dress and that you are happy with your purchase. If you're not then you have time to return and keep shopping. Secondly so that if you need alterations you'll have time for those as well.

Look on Ebay and it will give you more buyer protection tips too.

Let us know how you do.
