     Full figure Bride

I am a full figured bride, I am in the process of Planning a September wedding. I would like to wear a wedding dress with butterfly sleeves. Do you think this will be okay with my figure? I also would like to know what dresses would be appropriate for my full figure as the designer I am looking to go through makes alot of dresses, but some of them don't look proper on full figured models.

Thank You for your time

Hi Sherrilynne -

What do you mean by full figured? Large bust? Hips? Pear, apple shape? Give us more details.

Full Figured.. Large Bust, size 20 basically. I dont really have a large butt just stomach area and large bust line. I just don't care to wear something thats going to make me look heavier.

Corset tops and empire styles with soft draped fabric are flattering as they give structure to your torso while giving extra support to your large bust. Try styles that have vertical stiching to help give you an elongated appearance. Don't go for anything that has a defined waistline. No clingy fabrics.
The butterfly sleeve may bring too much attention to areas you want to de-empasize but a a sheer straight sleeve might look great.
Go shopping and try on a lot of different styles. You may surprise yourself. Remember to wear the appropriate undergarments and bring along a friend for support and opinion.

Have Fun!
