My daughter is getting married for the first time next May and is wondering if it is appropriate to wear an ivory wedding dress. The one she likes comes in both white and ivory but she likes the ivory better.

The color of the dress doesn't have the significance it once had. In fact, when I married some 22 years ago, I wore ivory. It just looked better with my skin tone.
