My fiance and I have decided to skip the formal wedding we were starting to plan and go to Vegas. I'm not sure how formal I want to be while getting married in Vegas (something I NEVER thought I would do) but I do need something ASAP! By the end of September actually and I have a VERY VERY small budget since I will be paying for this on my own. Any suggestions on something affordable and off the rack in Southern Califonia!? My fiance has hinted in a joking way he will be wearing a tux! What do I do?

For a Vegas wedding, last minute you can wear almost anything. Undoubtedly, you can find some very nice summer dresses this time of year marked down. Choose one that suits you. Even if your groom wears a tux (really doubt it), you will look good, because anything goes in Vegas.

Dear Bride, With a limited budget I suggest you hit the consignment shops. There are even stores that rent wedding gowns. Do ask around to see if anyone has a dress you can borrow. Or scan e-bay or the newspaper for people selling gowns. if you have a seamstress, they can often create fabulous designs for much less than a bridal shop. Be creative. Jodi R R Smith
