     Mature bride

What are the etiquette rules in regard to dresses and veils for mature brides? She is 50 and this will be her first wedding; her fiancee is a few years younger and was married. Should ordinary rules apply, or does her age require something different?

Dear Mature Bride,

Age doesn't matter. She can wear anything that she feels comfortable in wearing.

Best wishes,

Whatever the bride feels beautiful in is what she should go for...after all, it IS her wedding and it's her day to shine!

I agree, this is your day and you should feel beautiful.

There are so many choices in fashion, so have fun putting together your look.

Just so you know a really popular alternative to a traditional veil is the retro style Russian Tulle Veil which just goes over your face. Let me know if you would like more information about this veil.
