Need dress style help for long-waisted short barely plus size bride.
I am a slightly plus size bride. Meaning, I wear about a 14-16 US in regular clothing.
I am 5'3", so I'm pretty short. However, I have a long torso and short legs. From the base of my neck to my waist I am 19 inches. My waist (at my belly button) lies only 3 inches above the fullness of my hips, and whether I gain or lose weight, I always have only 4-6 inches difference between the size of my waist and the size of my hips. I'm not extremely big busted either for a size 14, only a 38-40 C-D. I am a modest bride and do not wish to show any cleavage. I don't mind off-the shoulder, but my shoulders are probably not my best feature, as I am 18 inches wide from shouldertip to shouldertip. I don't like strapless or spaghetti strap. My arms do not appear to be plus size at all, as they are fairly well-toned.
I cannot spend more than $300 on my dress, including alterations. I found one site I like the dresses on, and they are cheap (the two I am considering including the company's price for custom making them and shipping would be $146-188.)
At any rate, if you have any idea how I look please give me some style suggestions. I will post some pictures of the two dresses I am considering and see if anybody thinks they will be okay on me when custom made to my measurements.
I know to stay away from puff sleeves, and some sites say if you're short and plus look for a basque waist. But I think that would be wrong with my long waist. Am I correct? Do you think A-line or empire would do okay on me?
Measurements:
43-37-43, waist (at belly button) 3 inches above fullness of hips. 18 inch shoulders. 36" from waist to floor, 27" from waist up.

Both dresses look fine. The first dress has less embroidery, so you can add more elaborate jewelry. Concentrate on two things: shoes and your hair/makeup. Get high-heeled and slightly platformed shoes. That would elongate your legs. The updo will bring the whole silouette to a balance; you will appear taller and longer. Good makeup and eyelash extensions will attract attention to your face. Enjoy the wedding! Irina Feygin, IMpeccable iMage, Inc. Image and Beauty and For Princess Bride

Unfortunately, an updo would not be possible for me, as I wear a wig and will never be able to be rid of it. Any other hair suggestions?
