Second Thoughts about Cognac Wedding Dress

After trying on at least 20 wedding dresses I tried on a cognac colored Maggie Sottero dress and fell in love. The only dress to literally make me cry! However, I haven't purchased it yet because I've been having second thoughts about not wearing the traditional white or even an ivory dress. I really love this dress, I just hate the idea of people possibly wondering why I didn't go with the more traditional colors and don't know that I'm really "ok" with it. Help!

It is available in white and ivory, but the cognac really compliments my skin tone and has ivory lace, and I don't like the idea of ivory on ivory.

*Picture of dress is attached :)

When I think of cognac I think dark, deep maroon or brown. The picture looks more like a dark ivory or cream than cognac. This dress definitely looks like a wedding dress though. If you love it, wear it.

The dress looks absolutely magnificent! Go for it! Sage Green for bridesmaids will work very well with this color. As for the Mom, Chocolate or Eggplant would look great. Enjoy the wedding!
