     Second Wedding Attire

This is my second wedding and although we are having an intimate affair for two, we are both wearing wedding attire. I have been told that a 2nd time bride should not wear a veil. But would a headpiece like a tiara and maybe a fingertip veil be appropriate. Since it is just us. This is his first wedding and he has asked about the dress and veil. But I didn't know what to tell him.

Thanks!

It has been said that second time brides should forgo a blusher veil that covers the face. This style is considered the traditional veiling option for 1st time brides and one of the only real DON'TS. (Peggy Post has now said that wearing a veil down the back is acceptable for encore brides as long as you match the style or formality of your wedding to your choice in veils or headpieces. In otherwords, if you are having a very formal affair a veil and/or a "sweeps" (not train) style dress can be worn. If your event is semi-formal or informal you will probably want to go for the less formal options such as headpiece , hat or even a few flowers.

Best of luck...
