Should MOB help bride shop for wedding dress?

Traditionally, does the mother of the bride accompany the bride to shop for her wedding dress?

My mother does not want to go dress shopping with me. Any suggestions?

Dear Dress Shopping,

Traditionally she would because the bride's family used to host the wedding. But, it is not the case today. She may or may not. It is a personal decision.

Many just take the MOH or a friend.

Best wishes,
