I am getting married in Mexico in the beginning of June. The ceremony is outside near the beach, but not actually on the sand. The reception dinner will be indoors. I found a dress that I love by but it is more of a traditional wedding gown, rather than some of the light, more casual dresses I've seen in some "destination wedding" pictures. Is it acceptable to wear this type of dress, even if its a "beach" wedding? I was hoping that the indoor reception might make a difference. I don't want to look inappropriately dressed, but I do want to be happy with my wedding gown. If you think this dress would work, should I have it bustled the whole time, or altered a certain way to make it work better? Please help! Thank you!

It is difficult to give advice without seeing the photo of the dress. Please attach the photo of the dress and also please describe the type of indoor facility where the wedding takes place, so we could have a better idea of both to give you better advice! I agree. Plus, please remember that your dress and all of the bridal party's attire should reflect the formality of your event. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now

Congratulations! Your dress looks fabulous, with flowing, ligt and soflty draping fabric suitable for the location of your choice. Don't go too formal with your hair: you might prefer to wear a side comb or even a side flower instead of the tiara. Enjoy the wedding! Irina Feygin, IMpeccable iMage, Inc.
