     Veil or no veil?

I am 26 and have never been married before and have always wanted a big wedding. I would like to be traditional as can be- complete with all the bells and whistles. My father is footing the bill & walking me down the isle, & giving me away. I have sent out engraved engagement announcements ect..

Problem: Veil or no veil. I was planning to wear a small veil, but not one that coveres my face. Is it acceptable in my situation?

Although this is my first wedding, this is my husband to be's 2nd marriage. He didn't have a wedding the first time, they were married at the court house, and then divorced a year later. He has a child with his first wife. I have a child also by a brief relationship years ago, but never considered marriage. Our children are ages 7 & 4 and will be included in the ceremony complete with children's vows.

Technically, since this is your first wedding you could choose a veil but since you have already had a child you might want to forgo the blusher (over the face) veil.

Best of luck...
