I am planning a June wedding with both the ceremony and reception in the garden of a historic mansion. The ceremony will start at 5:30 and dinner will follow at 7:00. I have found a dress that I love but I'm not sure if it is too formal for a summer garden wedding. There will be between 200 and 250 guests. The dress material is silk taffeta and it has a chapel length train. I have included two pictures of the gown.

Yours is an evening reception at a historic mansion. I don't think this dress is too formal for an occasion such as this. It would be too formal for a casual oceanside daytime wedding, but not in your case! Enjoy!
