Hello, Some advice in regards to what kind of dress, veil, and accessories would be appropriate to choose for my wedding ceremony would be greatly appreciated. I have included as much detail as possible. It is going to be held in Vienna, Austria - where I live most of the year with my fiancee - on Saturday, June 30th at 1:00 in the afternoon. It is being held in a Catholic church which is a "Basilica minor" built in the baroque style and finished in the late 1700's. The ceremony will be in English and will be short, as it will be performed by the Deacon. I will be 36 years old by the date of the wedding, and my fiancee is quite a bit older; we both have never been married before. We are expecting a small attendance of less than 50 people, mostly European, with a few Americans. I am a dancer and my fiancee is an artist and performer; most of our guests will be dancers, musicians (classical and popular), and artists, with a few professionals and business owners. A brief reception will be held in the garden courtyard of a neighboring restaurant, and will consist of "finger foods", tortes, and champagne. We will be leaving for our honeymoon on a late-afternoon train ride through the Alps to Venice. I am rather fond of a tea-length dress in white with a pastel (pink, possibly) ceinture, a white pill-box hat with a very short veil in tulle, short white gloves, and a white hand fan (they are very popular here in Vienna). I am considering a light-weight white or pastel wrap, as an older church is often a bit cool. Please advise of your opinions as to what dress options are appropriate for such a small, early-afternoon wedding being held in this beautiful and elegant setting. Thank you, Gina

All I can advise is to choose a dress and accessories in the same formality as your wedding. Yours could be fairly formal noting the venue. But, you are not hosting a huge event. So, it seems that only you would be able to choose the formality of your attire as you would be the only one who knows for sure.
