What Can I do my veil is more ornate them my wedding gown?

I have a gown that I really love and chosen the veil my mother had however the veil is twice as more beady and ornate then the gown I have chosen how can I tone it down? Any advice ?Thanks

Is there any way that you can remove some of the beading or ornamentation from the veil without insulting your mom and/or ruining the veil?

Either that or you can add small decorations to the dress and help it balance out.
