Hi! Okay, we are planning a last minute trip to Tahoe for a small (just us) ceremony next week!! This is a last minute thing, although we've been engaged for awhile.
What to wear?!?!?! I am stressing out.
I have found two options that I like: A cream poncho type sweater with either cream or black dressy stylish pants, small heels and pearls or some other accessory.
Or a dressy jacket in gold and cream with cream pants and a cami.
I am a little bit overweight at this time and am very conscious of how I dress and look. No time for a gown and alterations, etc. The outfits I found can be dressed up enough to look great. The ceremony is again just us at 3:00 in the afternoon. So I don't want to be over or under dressed. No jeans and Tee's for us.
Please advise as to what might be appropriate.
Many thanks!!

Dear Doubletrouble,
Both outfits would be appropriate for a civil ceremony in Tahoe, however you've mentioned you're self conscious about your weight so your comfort should determine what you wear. Which outfit makes you feel most comfortable and most like a bride? Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com

Personally, I don't like the idea of pearls matched with a poncho so I'd get myself a beautiful, coordinating pashmina (cashmere and silk blend scarf) or opt for the jacket and pants. The pashmina will dress the outfit up a bit as well as keep you warm late into the evening. Depending on your coloring, select a slightly daring color..you don't have to stick with black.
