Well, my fiance and I are getting married in Alaska in the winter. We are eloping just something private with he and I and two witnesses. Now my question is is where can I find something that's not too formal nor too casual that I won't freeze my tush off in? Every gown that I've seen with long sleeves has had lightweight fabric for sleeves and the dress is utterly HIDEOUS! I've only got a few months to find something that will stun him but I also have to get it shipped to him in Alaska so that it'll be there when I get there and I don't have to take it on the plane. Please help, I'm starting to stress a litle.

I'm not sure why you're having trouble finding a dress since there are literally hundreds of online shops where you can buy gowns that are are various styles and fabrics. They all ship the gowns. Am I missing something? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
Search for winter wedding dress on google. I'm sure you'll find lots of dresses with sleeves and of heavy materials such as silk. You can also accompany your gown with a fur wrap or cape of some sort of accessory.
Visit a local bridal shop and ask the salesperson for help. They can ship gowns (or you can ship it) anywhere. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
Sheesh, why didn't I think of that? Now since we're eloping is there something that's considered too formal? I don't want the cupcake topper dress or anything but I want something that will make his jaw drop when he sees me.
It really depend on the location and time of day. Typically elopements are informal. I'd suggest trying evening gowns as opposed to what's labeled a wedding gown. Go out shopping and try on lots of dresses to see what fits your style and venue. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
