I found my dream dress, the sample in the store was cafe/silver. I ordered the dress in white/silver. I called to get a swatch so I could go ahead and show it to my florist since my dress won;t be here for a few months. When I went to pick up the swatch it looks ivory or even a cream color. I know it looks darker than it really is since it was stapled onto a bright white card, but now I am freaking out that it is not going to be white. I am going to call the store Monday to see if they have seen dresses in white made by this designer and if I am worrying over nothing. I know it may have been the wrong swatch since they had two totally different color of swatches for my bridesmaids dresses on my sheet too, so they are obviously not being very careful to keep all the different brides stuff straight. Anyway, my main problem is that I have been planning on using white/silver/blue for the reception, mostly white and silver since it is a january wedding. Can I still use white for everything at the reception if the dress is ivory? Thanks

Yes, you can still decorate using white at your reception even if your gown is ivory. It may not sound like it will look good, but it will:-) Don't worry.
