I have a plain full organza skirt on my wedding dress with no beads, lace, etc. My alterationist is an older lady that is only familiar with the loop around the wrist style of bustling, but she is an excellent alterationist and can do anything once I tell her how to. I don't want to do the wrist thing. How do you bustle a dress with no detail on the skirt to hide the hooks?
There are a few ways to place the hooks or buttons necessary to bussle your skirt without them being seen. However, without seeing it, I must defer you to a wedding gown specialist for more instruction. Contact your local bridal salon and ask. They'll be happy to help. Actually, you should have your alterationist call since she's the one who will be performing the work and have her follow back up with you.
