i got my dress and now i dont know if it is the right one. i thought that i would be fine because i thought that i would be able to fix the things that i dont like. but now i am getting scared that i wont be able to. if i was to bring it to a shop would they help me out.
Can you be more specific on the things you don't like? And which shop were you looking at? A seemstress for alterations or a wedding shop? Fellow Bride
Before you panic, take your dress to a qualified seamstress and ask her if she can make the alterations you require. Not everyone with a sewing machine can deal with silks and satins so be sure your choice is qualified, get references before you turn over the dress to them. the things that i dont like are at the waist line it goes into a V and the material folds up, and also at the waist line the skirt material bunches together and makes my hips look bigger. i know that these are small things that i shouldnt really worry about but like most brides i just want my day to be perfect. and i would bring it to a bridal shop
While your flipping through the magazines rip out pictures of dresses for an example of what you would like your dress to look like. Bring the examples with you when you get your dress altered.
This will help who ever you hire to fix your dress to have a visual of what you have in mind.
