     second wedding dress

This is my second wedding, his first. I still have my dress from my first wedding and was wondering if it would be tacky or wrong to find someone that could alter that dress and maybe dye it so that it looks different and wear it for my second wedding???? Any suggestions on how I could go about finding someone that could do that?

If your groom to be doesn't mind then I don't see the harm. You should certainly discuss this with him. Just be sure you're not wearing the dress from the first wedding as an attempt to hold on to the past. If the reason is financial there are many affordable choices such as:

Chadwick's Bridal Boutique

Informal and formal wedding dresses at affordable prices!

or

Check out local consignment shops, wedding warehouses or bid on informal, affordable second wedding dresses at ebay from the privacy of your own home!

Perhaps you could have the first wedding dress preserved for a daughter from that marriage or a special neice.

Dress Preservation Kit

If you still want to wear the original dress consult a professional seamstress. You can probably find one in your local yellow pages or perhaps through a firend's referral.
