wearing the wedding dress at the reception one week after the wedding
im getting married in lake tahoe along the lake with 50 guest (all family). we are then going to have the reception the following weekend at my fiance's father's house for about 150 guest (the 50 family members included), and we may show a video/slide show of the wedding. i wanted to know if it was ok for me to wear the wedding dress at the reception, even if the 50 family members already seen me in that dress the weekend before. does it matter? should i get a different dress for the reception?

The whole purpose for the wedding gown is be seen and presented at the wedding ceremony. If you were having a reception right afterward, there would be no problem. However, since the reception won't be until the following weekend, and you will be married by then, you should wear something else that is appropriate for a reception and receiving guests. I'm sorry. I have to respectfully disagree. From an etiquette point of view it is perfectly proper to wear the dress. The other guests will most likely be expecting it. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
