I purchased a halter a-line dress with a cathedral train, but now I read that it may be to much for my out door ceremony. I have also read that the groom should not wear a tux for a daytime wedding. I have told my guest to dress in a semi-formal attire. The will only have about 30 guest and I am having a lunch reception. is what I plan to wear okay? and is a tux okay for the groom? I am lost, please help?

Dear Confused Bride,
For a semi-formal wedding, even if it is outside, your dress should be fine. In the past it was thought that outdoor weddings are typically casual. Many still are. However, increasingly we have more formal weddings outdoors.
A tux is supposed to be evening formal attire. This is becoming common daytime formal attire in some areas. It is still viewed negatively by many though. So, please find out if this is common in your area.
I wouldn't attempt it myself. The stroller coat is a semi-formal jacket and is the most proper choice. It looks dashing also :)
