A catalogue image of my wedding gown is attached. I will be married in an evening wedding, summertime, at a Villa abroad with 100 guests (very elegant setting). What do you think I should do about the veil?
Should I go for more rigid, short, long, mid length? Help!? My intuition is telling me that the gown will not go well with a forward veil covering the face.
Again, the venue and setting are very elegant (albeit semi-outdoors and July). I will be meeting with a professional stylist soon but could use some pointers in the meantime.
As always, thanks for your wonderful insight.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Your dress looks gorgeous, and your on-location wedding sounds dreamy! If it's in Europe, I can connect you with Italy and France-based luxury wedding services who can refer local hair and makeup talent to you.
In the meantime: The veil should be more rigid and short to mid-length. This style would go well with your type of dress, and would "behave" beautifully in the outdoor setting. A long, thin, limpy veil would spoil your beautiful image.
Please post your hair question under the appropriate category for the hair expert to answer.
Let me first start off by letting you know how beautiful your dress is. Absolutely gorgeous.
In regards to your veil, I definitely would agree going with more of a shorter style. The dress has a classic, elegant and cute style to it and a shorter veil would match it more. Also unless you plan on wearing the forward veil the whole night through, you shouldn't worry too much about it, its just covering your face for a moment as your going down the aisle for traditional reasons.
