I am trying to figure out if my wedding veil length is appropriate, based on etiquette and style. I have attached pictures of the front and back of my gown, which is a bridesmaid dress in white. Please note that the picture of the back is in the original color, as there is no photo available of the back in white. The veil I currently have is white netting with a white ribbon around the edges, closely matching the fabric of the dress. However, the veil is fairly long, and goes just past my rear end. (Sorry couldn't think of a better way to phrase that.) Please let me know if this veil is appropriate to wear with my gown.
Thank you!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! The veil sounds like a beautiful one, and it certainly matches the formality of the dress. The question of style: If you are planning a classic "updo", it will go perfectly. If, however, you are planning to wear loose curls or any other "less formal" hair style, the length of the veil might be too much. Check with your hair stylist. Enjoy the wedding! My plan is an updo... but it also depends on how much my hair cooperates. I have attached a picture of the style I would like, but I am not sure it will work on me. My other option is basically a bun, but a little fancier than normal. If I go with that option I was thinking we would do a braid that wraps around the bun. I am trying to find a style that will work with my face, the dress, and the veil. Any advice would be much appreciated.
The picture looks nice, and it's clear that it shows some added extensions - they are different in color. You should consult with your hairstylist to find out the best option for you. Don't forget to bring your veil to the trial! Irina Feygin - IMpeccable iMage, inc. http://www.image-and-beauty.com and For Princess Bride.com http://www.forprincessbride.com
