     Bridal Hair Accessories

I would like some advice on what I could use for hair accessories. We are getting married on June 3/06 in a fairly formal affair. My dress is corset style, strapless, quite detailed (front and back) and made of satin. I have long fine straight hair. I normally wear it in a pony tail in the summer. And if next year is anything like last year then it will be quite warm by then. Combine this with my fairly heavy satin dress I already know I'm gonna be warm. So with these factors combined I figured that I'd wear my hear up (see pic).

My wedding colours are diamond white and deep red accented with gold. My red satin covered hand-tied flowers will include asiatic or oriental lilies (which will also be on my cake), roses or rananculus, carnations, bear grass, ivy, among others.

What would you recommend for hair accessories for both the front and the back of my hair? Are lilies ok? Or should I use crystal type combs and barretes? Oh, one final note my jewelry is very simple so as not to take away from the dress.

I really appreciate any ideas that you all could share with me.

Thank you

My advice is to keep your hair ornaments "balanced."
Your photo shows ornament "suggestions" in both front & back I think this is distracting rather than flowing & harmonious.

If you want a touch of flowers, feathers, jewels in both areas, I'd rather suggest a "swirl" effect of adornment. Keep the ornament the same. All flowers (Lilies are lovely) -- perhaps with gold or a touch of sparkle OR all feathers with a sparkling touch ... If I can be of any further assistance or if you'd like a custom made headpiece, please call on me.
Congratulations. Your wedding ensemble sounds lovely and well planned
Enjoy the splendor!
