I bought my veil and tiara separately off E-Bay and I love both. But I'm getting my hair done the morning of my wedding and need to put the tiara in at that time. I don't want to wear the veil all day until pictures start around 4:30pm.
What's the easiest way to make the veil easily attachable and detachable, without ruining the hair? As I said, it's a circle veil, and I'm wearing it slightly off center, so the blusher is shorter in the front when worn down. Right now, the veil has no combs or anything - it's just the tulle circle with ribbon edging.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

When you are getting your hair done the morning of your wedding have the stylist show someone (who will be with you all day) how to attach and detach the veil. You will want to make sure that same person has hair spray with them to touch up your hair. I know you don't want to wear the veil all day, and so long before pictures, but it is best. Only reason is because then your hair will look and stay picture-perfect and you don't have to worry about it getting messed up. Then have the stylist tell someone how to take the veil off without messing up your hair.

I get the impression that the veil is not too overwhelmingly large ??? Yes? No?
Try a simple HAT PIN (or two) to attach the veil to your hair just behind the tiara.
Put the pin through the veil, grabbing some of your hair, twist the pin around to firmly grab your hair, then push the pin on through back into the veil once again, in the same direction you started.
Of course you will have to "touch up" your hair a wee bit at the reception ... but then again, who doesn't?

Thanks for the advice, Gena - Yes, the veil is only about fingertip-length (I'm wearing it shorter in front than in back).
What you suggested sounds like a great idea - and it doesn't look like I would need to sew any combs or other attachments in to the veil itself (?), but just pin it in right before the pictures.
What would you suggest for a hat pin that is not too overwhelming (the tiara is already fairly ornate)? Or would a simple bobby pin also work, provided it is well-hidden?

Do not use a bobby pin. It will most likely tear a hole in the veiling.
A simple long corsage pin (usually a pearl head) will work fine in place of a hat pin. You could glue sparkle/glitter/ mini crystals on the pearl head to match your tiara -- or not -(I don't really think it will be very nopticeable)- your choice.
